A little about me
I have competed in both Olympic Weightlifting and Bench-Only Lifting. I competed in Olympic Lifting as a kid. Best lifts of 255 Olympic Press, 225 Snatch, 255 Clean & Jerk. I met many of the great lifters and coaches from the 60's and 70's. After a 20-year break to serve my country I started lifting regularly again and competing in Bench-Only. Best Lift: 419lbs "equipped".
Feel free to follow along on the adventure...

Note on the deload week.
Been reading a lot of Westside Philosophy and I gotta say I agree with Louie when it comes to not taking a deload week. Yeah its good to give your muscles a hard earned rest, but active recovery is definitely the way to go. Doing weights in the 30-40% range for high reps to get the blood into the muscle to develop hypertrophy really makes the muscle heal quicker in my opinion as I just experimented with this. I say you let me spot you and attempt that monster 315 and get it out of the way so you can join me in the 400 club :)
