Darn good day I felt super strong today. I'm really amazed at how well I'm progressing. I never thought I could rep 495 for reps on multiple sets and I'm more than pleased with that. A pr is a pr on the high pull and I had more in me. I'm so pleased with my progress. I had a little funky twitch in my left elbow on my 8th set of Box Squats but it feels fine and is nothing to worry about. Probably my body just adapting to this level of volume. I've decided to go completely raw in this Box Squat Mini Cycle so I can increase lower back strength, core strength and of course posterior chain and quad strength. All in all a darn good day and I don't see anything barring injury that will stop my progress and I'm pretty darn healthy right now. Getting stronger is awesome!
A little about me
I have competed in both Olympic Weightlifting and Bench-Only Lifting. I competed in Olympic Lifting as a kid. Best lifts of 255 Olympic Press, 225 Snatch, 255 Clean & Jerk. I met many of the great lifters and coaches from the 60's and 70's. After a 20-year break to serve my country I started lifting regularly again and competing in Bench-Only. Best Lift: 419lbs "equipped".
Feel free to follow along on the adventure...
