A little about me

I have competed in both Olympic Weightlifting and Bench-Only Lifting. I competed in Olympic Lifting as a kid. Best lifts of 255 Olympic Press, 225 Snatch, 255 Clean & Jerk. I met many of the great lifters and coaches from the 60's and 70's. After a 20-year break to serve my country I started lifting regularly again and competing in Bench-Only. Best Lift: 419lbs "equipped".

Feel free to follow along on the adventure...

T-Bone Strength 3-15-08

Max Effort Deadlift

Conventional Deadlifts: 135x3, 225x3, 315x3, 405x3, 495x1 (All Raw)
Put on Inzer Max DL suit: 495x1, 515x1*

Romanian Deadlifts: 405x5 (3 sets)

Rack Pulls: 405x5, 495x3, 545x2

My last super heavy workout before state. It should be noted that I failed at my first two attempts at 495 raw and I honestly couldn't figure out why (granted I didn't get that much sleep last night and I had cramps in my hamstrings nor did I eat as I should have) but it was a simple technique flaw that I corrected and got that sucker up as well as a PR 515 from the floor. I'm within 6 pounds of making weight for state so I'll relax on the diet aspect of it but continue to increase my fluid intake which is really making a difference in me making weight. Feeling alright otherwise going into State. My goal lifts as I've recently changed are to make a 710 squat, 479 bench, and a 523 deadlift which would give me a significant over 400 pound increase from my state total last year and the total would be a whopping PR for me 1712 total and then after this meet I'm going to really focus on bringing my deadlift up well into the 600's, working on grip, core strength while maintaining the pace I'm going at with my squat and bench which are progressing nicely.

1700 will fall!
