Bench Day
Shirted 2-Board, 1-Board
Bar, 135x5 2 Sets, 185x1, 225x1, Put on 50" F-6
2-Board: 315x3 No Touch,
335x1 Went up like a shot! 365x1* Real Easy
1-Board: 335x3* Not even a challenge.
365 went up so fast I really didn't get a chance to
"strain"! It was harder to get out of the uprights than
it was to bench. I just lowered into the shirt's bubble
and POW!
Raw 5-Board w/Dbl Blue Bands
135x5, 165x5*
I was so excited about the boards I forgot to
do the full ROM Reverse Bands tonight. Oh well.
Smoke show, joke, whatever you want to call it.
This is the 1st time benching 400+ has seemed
like a real possibility. We live for these workouts.
A little about me
I have competed in both Olympic Weightlifting and Bench-Only Lifting. I competed in Olympic Lifting as a kid. Best lifts of 255 Olympic Press, 225 Snatch, 255 Clean & Jerk. I met many of the great lifters and coaches from the 60's and 70's. After a 20-year break to serve my country I started lifting regularly again and competing in Bench-Only. Best Lift: 419lbs "equipped".
Feel free to follow along on the adventure...

Hey I tried calling you back! I was freaking stoked for you man thats just awesome!
I was going to call you and tell you I hit 500 even to a 1 board and smoked it up in my old rage-x. I really think 500 is possible now.
I still say your biggest weakness is your lack of upper back thickness, if you continue to strengthen it and work in your shirt again, I really think 400 is going to fall for you. 402 402 402 is in you!!!
Thanks Tony! Great to hear about 500! Wow!
