Cable Work
Very pleased with this session. I was going to do reverse bands originally, but when I got to the gym I just decided screw it I'm doing straight weight. All sets were very easy and with fairly good speed. Scott has improved his technique leaps and bounds from when he first returned from injury and it shows with the speed and velocity he is able to generate with his lifts. I felt like this was a good session in that the weight wasn't the most difficult and I got through the 10x3 and next week Steve will be back and I'm sure the 10x3 will be much more difficult. Everything is on the road to 300kg+ right now for me. I have no interest in benching 620 or anything like that, 700 is the next goal. 300-320kg or bust. So far Week 1 is complete, back and shoulder work tomorrow.
A little about me
I have competed in both Olympic Weightlifting and Bench-Only Lifting. I competed in Olympic Lifting as a kid. Best lifts of 255 Olympic Press, 225 Snatch, 255 Clean & Jerk. I met many of the great lifters and coaches from the 60's and 70's. After a 20-year break to serve my country I started lifting regularly again and competing in Bench-Only. Best Lift: 419lbs "equipped".
Feel free to follow along on the adventure...
