A little about me

I have competed in both Olympic Weightlifting and Bench-Only Lifting. I competed in Olympic Lifting as a kid. Best lifts of 255 Olympic Press, 225 Snatch, 255 Clean & Jerk. I met many of the great lifters and coaches from the 60's and 70's. After a 20-year break to serve my country I started lifting regularly again and competing in Bench-Only. Best Lift: 419lbs "equipped".

Feel free to follow along on the adventure...

What a 315 incline bench means to the future of my development as a strength athlete I don't know. What I do know is that I've wanted a 315 incline for quite sometime and never got around to doing it. Its amazing to see the difference in bar path and height and what it does to your strength. I'm positive I'm good for around 435-445 raw on a flat bench on a good day and I'm well over 100 pounds off that on the incline. I think I need to come up with a good rotation of lifts to do on my main accessory day and come up with a plan. As Big Steve has a rotation of main lifts for the 10x3 program so do I need a solid rotation for my accessory day. But man, 315 on the incline was pretty awesome!
