A little about me

I have competed in both Olympic Weightlifting and Bench-Only Lifting. I competed in Olympic Lifting as a kid. Best lifts of 255 Olympic Press, 225 Snatch, 255 Clean & Jerk. I met many of the great lifters and coaches from the 60's and 70's. After a 20-year break to serve my country I started lifting regularly again and competing in Bench-Only. Best Lift: 419lbs "equipped".

Feel free to follow along on the adventure...

Looks good Tony. Consider some medium-heavy reps instead of speed work. You got the speed! How about close-grip bench 4x4 followed by DBBP 4x10, lats and tris. Nice to see you getting stronger and hope to see you soon!

So, instead of speed work just hammer the tri's? 4 total sets of 4, or, get a weight and do 4 sets of 4 with it. Will give this a shot on my next accessory day.

4x4 with same weight you could do for 5-6 reps. Reduce weight as needed to stay in that "I could do 5-6 reps". And close-grip now means 1 hand-width in, not super close.
